33 Muslim Pioneers in Science and Art

33 Muslim Pioneers in Science and Art

This proposal presents a unique cultural initiative featuring a large-scale, historically inspired fresco and thirty-three major oil paintings accompanied by 3D objects. The goal is to revive the legacy of Muslim scholars who helped shape world knowledge—through the most universal language of all: Art.

Vision: This project is designed as a counterpart to Raffaello’s School of Athens fresco—offering a visual tribute to the greatest Muslim scholars in history: mathematicians, scientists, engineers, and philosophers. At the heart stands a monumental wall painting (200×300 inches / 5m x 7.7m), followed by 33 oil paintings (each 60×72 inches), with accompanying 3D representations of their inventions and instruments.

Why This Project?

Today, the word “Islam” is often associated with conflict and division. This project seeks to transform that perception by showcasing the contributions of Islamic civilization to universal knowledge—through dazzling, inspiring, and beautifully crafted works of art.

Each painting will immortalize a luminous moment and a brilliant pioneer—depicting how intellect, curiosity, and craftsmanship enriched human history.
